Different brotherhoods of trumpeters gathered at that time. There were 2 types of them: martial trumpeters and chamber trumpet-players that played difficult parts in hard high register.

At the very beginning of the XIX century was created valve gear. This novelty increased the ability of scales and the technique of performance also changed. The principle of that gear was in adding the crown in the main tube. It changed the shape of instruments and the pitch was lowered.
